A testimonial from the organiser of a recent birthday party we played for at Snape Maltings, Suffolk:

"I wanted to say a very big thank you to all the band and your caller for making my birthday party such a memorable night. The music was fantastic and the dances were perfectly pitched for our mixed abilities.

"You must have done some excellent preparation beforehand – the dances were all different, all fun and the music for them was really uplifting. It was an inspired move to start off with the two big circles - you showed us all that it was not too complicated and was huge fun and after that, people were hooked. One of our guests, who must be over 70, said that he had danced every single dance, which showed just how mesmerising the music and dancing were. Your caller was the ideal choice – he made everything sound pretty simple, rehearsed us until we had mostly got it, but weren’t tired of the practice and kept putting us back on the rails when we fell off! You were all hugely professional and fuss-free and although you were, literally centre-stage, you enhanced the occasion rather than dominated it, which was just what I was looking for.

"There were lots of people who were new to barn-dancing and you have made converts of them all. All the letters and e-mails I have received say how much they enjoyed the dancing and meeting lots of different people in the process.

"I could do it all again tomorrow, so please let me know when The Valiant Dance Band are coming to the Woodbridge area."
